Social Care Advice in Brighton and the South East
I believe myself to be a conscientious, empathic, and energetic individual who is driven by continued development and learning. I am creative and adopt a solution-focused approach to work and life. I have a wide client base including people with learning disabilities and/or autism, older adults, those diagnosed with dementia, Acquired Brain injury, physical disabilities and complex needs.
I offer social care advice in Brighton and the South-East but I can cover wider geographic area as needed
My experience
Trained as a Social Worker and began working in the Local Authority.
Completion of PQSW and moved to Hospital SW team, working within an MDT in A&E department
Progressed to Senior Social Worker and Senior Practitioner before being appointed as Team Manager.
Moved from statutory sector to private sector where I was then then the Operations Director for a company that provided residential, supported living, day service and community support for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury and Complex Need across West Sussex and Kent.
Skills and knowledge:
Working in partnership with key stake holders such as Local Authorities, CCG’s and CQC, families and most importantly the individuals themselves to ensure a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service provision that seeks to develop and empower citizenship and equality.
Enshrining a strengths-based and person-centered support approach for everyone, and to that of the professional development of the workforce. This role is highly active, variable from hour-to-hour and is performance driven.
I have gained excellent knowledge in fields such as analyzing data, HR Management, Employment Law and finance whilst being able to strengthen my social work knowledge, skills and values within the private sector.
