Social Care Advice in Brighton and the South East
I aim to provide support, direction, clarity and guidance. I offer social care advice in Brighton and the South East and wider areas as needed. I aim to be someone’s light when they feel hopeless. Their voice when they are not heard. I aim to offer confidence and security. I aim to empower.
Teddy Roosevelt famously stated “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. My aim is to demonstrate how much I care and how passionate I am about the delivery of quality, safe, effective, responsive, well-led and caring support.
Please see below examples of some of the work I have undertaken, however, please call me to discuss your situation – every situation, like the individual, is unique.
- Advocacy - providing issue-based, instructed or non-instructed independent advocacy. Identifying with and representing a person’s views and concerns, in order to secure their rights and entitlements. Empowering individuals to have their voice heard.
- Supervisor/regulatory governance – offering on-going support, supervisions and guidance to managers on matters of regulation., operational delivery of service and service development.
- Independent Case Management – working and supporting individuals to reach their goals, achieve outcomes and enhance well-being through close monitoring, reviews and active co-ordination of support services.
- Social Care navigation – providing support and guidance with navigating statutory health and social care processes and when accessing the social care sector.
- Complaint investigation – undertaking a comprehensive investigation in order to resolve issues and ensure improved outcomes. A solutions-focused approach.
- Quality Assurance (regulatory) reviews, inspections and monitoring – informing and developing a quality assurance management system that supports quality care and service delivery. I will complete regular quality assurance inspections and identify SMART objectives that align with CQC, contractual and legal requirements.
- Mediation and negotiation – I can be the intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it. This be task-focused or on-going involvement.
